Hey there. I really don't have much to say right now, I just want to start this new project with a few minimal thoughts and ideas on what I expect, and what I hope it becomes.
I like to build, tweak things, and learn new technologies and new ways of doing things, along with traveling, eating, and all the other incredible things life lets us experience. So I decided to make this little space to start talking about some of the things I am passionate about and share them with the internet.
01 Why a homelab
I would like to explore the journey of building my own homelab and show a bit of the architecture choices I made, as well as discuss things like "Why have a homelab?", or maybe just think about how I can apply what I have learned working for Big Tech to a very small and simple homelab.
02 Agents and a new way of working
I will also share things I am learning right now, like probably everyone else in tech, on how to set up a smart agentic flow and get agents working together with me and the homelab. I will discuss things like why I prefer to use Hermes over OpenClaw, or why I prefer to have a dedicated agent running Claude Code instead of just running it inside Hermes.
03 What to expect here
Either way, all of these journeys, curiosities, and opinions are going to be shared here. I don't expect to become an influencer, and I am not saying I know the best way of doing everything. I am saying that I would like a place to track, log, and share everything that has been fun for me since I started this journey: exploring open source more, leaning into the hobby of running a homelab, and exploring the new way of working for engineers, where from now on it seems like AI will be required the same way Excel or Microsoft Word have been expected of everyone joining the workforce.
Well, I guess that is it for now!
Excited to be here!
